The Linux Academy Pakistan (“we”, “us”, “our”) is an online training service operated by AlphaTech Labs. This policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using our website and services you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and (optionally) phone number and city, provided when you register or enrol.
• Enrolment & usage — the courses you enrol in, your progress, and support requests.
• Payment information — online payments are processed by our payment gateway, PayFast. We do not collect or store your card, EasyPaisa, or JazzCash credentials; we only receive a confirmation and reference for each transaction.
• Sign-in with Google (optional) — if you choose it, Google shares your name and email address with us to create or access your account.
• Technical data — IP address, browser type, and cookies needed to keep you signed in and to keep the service secure. We do not use third-party advertising trackers.

How we use your information

• To create your account and give you access to the courses you enrol in.
• To process payments and issue receipts and enrolment confirmations.
• To send service messages (enrolment, payment, access, and account emails).
• To provide support and to maintain, secure, and improve the service.
• To meet legal and accounting obligations.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the service providers needed to run the platform — our payment gateway (PayFast), our email delivery provider, and cloud/hosting infrastructure — and only as needed to provide the service, or where required by law.

Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and security (for example, to keep you signed in and to protect forms). We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.

Data retention & security

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as required for legal and accounting purposes, after which it is deleted or anonymised. All traffic is encrypted in transit (HTTPS), and access to personal data is restricted to authorised staff.

Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by emailing us. We will respond within a reasonable period.

Children

Our services are intended for users aged 16 and above. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “last updated” date above reflects the current version.
